Shlagha Thapa

Shlagha is a Geo-Engineering master student at Delft University of Technology. She has completed her bachelor's degree in Applied Earth Sciences at the same university and has a deep interest in the field of engineering geology. During her time as a student, she likes to be a part of student organisations and to work with people.

The subject of her master's thesis is to use total geologic history in determining the soil types based on the Unified Soil Classification System (USCS). The main core of this research is to understand how various geologic processes affect the formation of soils and to put this understanding into a concise methodology that can be used for remote classification.
